Flowers; with Myry

Spread the love

Hello everyone!

Myry here again and a promise is a promise! So today I’m going to show you how to make the flowers that I used to decorate the pencil-shaped box where the instructions to that can be found on last weeks post. The flowers are made using the flowers from the paper pad collections. The supplies you will need are below:

PlannerCraft supplies:

Other supplies:

  • 200 gsm white card stock (I don’t recommend using less gsm)
  • Glue
  • Folding tools and something like a sponge
  • Small embellishments like pearl beads
  • Cutting machine or scissors

So let’s start making Flowers!

You need the peonies template. I’m using this colour palette but you can use the palette that works better for your work.

You can use your cutting machine or scissors. If you use a plotter I recommend making the cuts flush with the lines, leaving no “white” space. If you use scissors, I recommend fine-tipped ones, much better if they are specifically for fussy cutting but it is not necessary to do a good job.

Choose the pieces that you’re going to need and see how the result would be before continuing.

Now fold the petals with the folding tool and the sponge: start from the centre with circular movements and then from the tips towards the centre.

Stick each piece in place.

You can use some elements from “Lilac Florals” collection to finish the peonies.

Decorate the centre of the flowers with pearls beads or with another element of your choice.

And that’s it! Easy peasy! As you can see they are super easy to do. And you could also make them using foam (but you’ll need to use heat to fold them).

Thanks so much for reading and have a good week!
